Privacy Policy

This site is the personal portfolio of Shivraj Dhumal. It is a static website with a single interactive feature: a contact form. This policy explains what that form collects, why, and how the information is handled.

What is collected

The only personal information collected is what you voluntarily enter into the contact form:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The message you write

For security and abuse prevention, the server also records a one-way, irreversible hash of the sender's IP address. The raw IP is never stored. Standard technical request data (such as browser user-agent and referring page) may accompany a submission.

How it is used

Submissions are used solely to read and reply to your message. They are stored so a message is not lost, and delivered by email to the site owner. Your information is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.

Analytics and session replay

The site uses PostHog, a session-analytics and replay service. When enabled, it records how you interact with the pages (clicks, scrolling, navigation, and general device/browser information) so the site can be understood and improved.

How this is enabled depends on your location. Where local law requires prior consent (for example the EU, EEA and UK), analytics does not load until you accept the cookie banner. Elsewhere it may run by default, and you can turn it off at any time using the "Manage cookies" control in the footer. Either way, you remain in control.

Where analytics runs by default (see below), your interactions may be recorded, including the contact form and the details you enter into it — so the site's flows can be understood and improved. Where prior consent is required (for example the EU, EEA and UK), the contact form is excluded from recordings. Either way, anything you submit through the form is also sent to the site owner by email regardless of analytics. PostHog acts as a data processor and this site uses its European Union hosting region, so analytics data is processed in the EU. You can decline, or withdraw consent at any time, using the "Manage cookies" control in the footer — see the Cookie Policy .

Third-party services

A few infrastructure providers process data on the site's behalf, strictly to make the contact form work:

• Cloudflare — hosting and a bot-protection check (Turnstile) on the contact form, which processes technical data to confirm you are not a bot.
• Resend — delivers contact-form submissions by email.
• PostHog (European Union region) — session analytics and replay, loaded only with your consent, as described above.

The site sets no advertising cookies. It uses only a small set of strictly necessary cookies plus, with your consent, the analytics cookies described in the Cookie Policy .

Retention and your choices

Contact submissions are kept only as long as needed to correspond with you. Analytics data collected with your consent is retained by PostHog for a limited period and can be turned off at any time by withdrawing consent via "Manage cookies" in the footer. You may request access to, or deletion of, the information you sent at any time by reaching out through the contact form on this site.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. This site is operated from Ontario, Canada.
